Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)

We encourage students to purchase their own BYOD device to help enhance their learning experience here at Nagle College.

Purchasing BYOD Devices

There are 4 options for Purchasing BYOD Devices, the main options are able to be accessed by going to the website: http://byod.parra.catholic.edu.au. The minimum device requirements will also be at the bottom of this page

  • CEDP Apple Purchasing Portal (Apple Devices)

  • Computers Now Purchasing Portal (Apple & Windows Devices)

  • ASI Purchasing Portal (Chromebooks & Windows Devices)

  • Retail Stores (Apple & Windows Devices)

CEDP Apple Purchasing Portal (Apple Devices)

Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta has negotiated special pricing for Apple products available to students of all CEDP schools, including Nagle College. This special pricing for Apple Products is available online via the Apple Purchase Portal at http://byod.parra.catholic.edu.au, or at either Penrith Westfield Apple Store or Castle Towers Apple Store. Please ensure if you are purchasing a device at an Apple Retail store that you say that you are from Nagle College, which is a CEDP School.

Purchasing a Device from a Retail Store (Apple & Windows Devices)

If you wish to purchase your daughters device from a Retail Store, please ensure that the device chosen meets all Device Specifications listed on http://byod.parra.catholic.edu.au and below. If the Device does not meet these specifications then the device will be unable to connect to the Nagle College Network.

We advise that you will need to pay extra attention to ensuring the device is either Windows 10 Education or Windows 10 Professional if it is a Windows device, as well as having 5GHz 802.11n Wireless for all devices.

Android devices and iPhones are unable to connect to the Nagle College network at this point in time and therefore cannot be used in the BYOD programme.

iPad Minis do not meet the minimum screen size requirement to be connected to the network and therefore cannot be used in the BYOD programme.

All Chromebooks require a Google Console Management license. This is to allow the device to securely connect to the CEDP network. If a chromebook is not purchased through ASI you will need to contact ASI to organise the purchasing of a license.

If you have any questions about the BYOD program, please do not hesitate to contact the College via email, or alternatively via phone.
