Macquarie University Student And Parent Information Evening

Student and Parent information evening

18 May 2016

6:30 pm - 8:30 pm (optional campus tour from 5pm)

Atrium Patio (Building C10A Lower level), facing Lakeside Lawn, Macquarie University

At Macquarie we know university study is a life choice that can start your career, shift your thinking, engage you with the world … even help you change the future.

We don’t take your decision to study at Macquarie lightly. We believe in giving you everything you need to make an informed choice about your study – just as we believe in giving our students everything they need to learn, grow and succeed in their studies and future career.

We like enquiring minds. At our information evening, you can speak with our staff, enjoy presentations from current and past students and gain an insight into why Macquarie is a leader in undergraduate study.

  • Learn how our specialised courses, world-class facilities and knack for innovation can give you the edge in our competitive, changing world.
  • Be inspired by our practical and industry-based initiatives like PACE (Professional and Community Engagement), overseas Student Exchange Program and the Global Leadership Program.
  • Discover how university study is different and cut through the lingo (eg major, minor, unit, prerequisite).
  • Get informed about our entry schemes and pathways, and our flexible study options.
  • Be impressed by our support networks. You’ll hear how well you’ll be supported as a first-year student at Macquarie, through access to mentors, careers advisers, counsellors and social opportunities with clubs, societies and friendly campus hang-out spots
  • Grab a taste of life on campus. There’s nothing like seeing first hand the benefits of one of Australia’s largest, most well-equipped campuses with state-of-the-art facilities, diverse accommodation options and even a train station!

If you’re interested in science, you can arrive at 5pm for a tour of our world-class science facilities and to hear about our study options in science.
