๐ Last week, our Year 9 students had an inspiring visit to Taronga Zoo to delve into environmental change and management, focusing on the urgent issue of deforestation in Australia and Sumatra. They explored the devastating effects of forest loss on biodiversity and learned about the critical role of sustainable practices and conservation efforts. ๐จ Last week, our Year 11 PDHPE students took part in a CPR course led by the Royal Life Saving Society! ๐ฅ This two-hour session guided them through the DRSABCD procedure for both adults and infants across various scenarios. Each student successfully passed both the practical and written tests, and they are now CPR accredited! ๐ Well done to our future lifesavers! ๐

๐ This term, Erica, Ajla, and Ericka travelled with Mrs Horan and Ms Pelham to St Ritaโs College in Brisbane for the Nagle Education Alliance of Australiaโs Student Conference! ๐ Our students participated in a range of enriching activities, including First Nations experiences and workshops focused on social justice issues. They enjoyed a special conference dinner, celebrating new friendships with students from Presentation Schools across Australia. The conference concluded with a beautiful Mass, and our students proudly represented Nagle College, deepening their understanding of what it means to be a Presentation Person. ๐โจ From our students: "We are honoured to have been part of the NEAA Conference in Brisbane this year. The experience expanded our understanding of Presentation charism and the legacy of Nano Nagle. We learned the importance of applying gospel values like courage and compassion to our lives. The hands-on experiences with Indigenous Australian culture, history, and art have truly deepened our appreciation for these traditions.
