Year 8’s Journey to the Middle Ages! Our Year 8 HSIE students swapped their devices for tunics as they journeyed back to the Medieval era! Dressed in full medieval gear, they tested their skills, took part in epic battles, and even handled real historical artefacts. From thrilling sword fights and jaw-dropping jester magic to fierce squire-run competitions, history came to life in the most exciting way. The students fully immersed themselves, deepening their understanding of medieval life through fun, hands-on experiences. A truly unforgettable day!

🏅 YEAR 12, SEMESTER 1 AWARD CEREMONY 🏅 Today, we had the privilege of celebrating our Year 12 students who demonstrated exceptional results and unwavering dedication to their studies throughout Semester 1. Their accomplishments were honoured in a special assembly, followed by a morning tea, with the presence of our College Leadership Team, Wellbeing Leaders, and the parents and carers of these remarkable students. 🎨STUDENT SPOTLIGHT🎨 Disha G- Year 10 Nagle College is incredibly proud and excited to celebrate Disha G, whose exceptional artwork has been selected for the Youth Category of the St Columba's Art Prize. Disha’s submission stands out among over 350 entries from across the country. The winner of the Youth Category will be announced on Friday, 2 May. 🤩CRAZY HAIR DAY 🩷💚🩷 As we enter the second week of our fundraising efforts for Project Compassion, Nagle College students and staff embraced the fun theme of Crazy Hair Day. It was fantastic to see everyone getting creative, and it’s inspiring to witness such a strong sense of community and generosity. Thanks to the dedication and support of our staff and students. A big thank you to everyone who has contributed to raising funds so far. Let’s keep up the momentum and continue to share the spirit of generosity throughout this Lenten season. 2025 Project Compassion: Walk For Water 💧 On Monday, ten Year 9 students joined forces with other CSPD schools to walk in solidarity with women across the world who do not have easy access to clean, drinkable water. Students walked a number of laps around the Yandhai Nepean Crossing, carrying buckets of water to symbolise the great struggle experienced by women who travel around 6kms each day on foot to collect water from the closest watering hole #walkforwater #projectcompassion #naglecollege #cspd

Earlier this term, we asked teachers to identify students in their Year 12 classes who were actively engaged in their learning, putting in consistent effort, and striving for growth and excellence. Several students were nominated for their outstanding dedication. To celebrate their hard work, we held multiple morning tea sessions to acknowledge and commend their efforts. Who is ready to be hungry?🍱🍛🍤 Year 11 Food Technology students have been exploring the factors that influence food choices at various stages of the life cycle. As part of this study, they were tasked with creating a recipe suitable for a specific life stage and providing a justification for why people at that stage would choose to eat that particular food #naglecollege #CSPD #year11 #foodtechnology

HSC English Revision 📖🖋 To further support HSC students, the Nagle College English Department are offering afternoon revision workshops on Tuesdays, available to all students enrolled in English Advanced, Standard, and Studies. These workshops are designed to help students enhance the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in all sections of the HSC English exam. The Tuesday afternoon study workshops will resume in Week 1 of Term 2.

On Friday evening, a group of Year 11 and 12 students attended the Parramatta Library to take part in the recording of the @abclisten program The Minefield, hosted by Waleed Aly and Scott Stephens. The discussion centred around Ray Bradbury’s dystopian novel Fahrenheit 451. It was an insightful evening and an excellent opportunity to engage in a meaningful conversation about literature.
